Meet Dr. Suzanne Bird

As an Orthodontist and Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Suzanne Bird is one of just a few Orthodontists in the United States who is also a Pediatric Dentist. This dual specialty helps Dr. Bird guide the growth and development of her patients from newborns to teens! Dr. Bird is an AIRWAY focused pediatric dentist and orthodontist – having invested hundreds of hours in continuing education in this field – specifically with Airway Health Solutions, Children’s Airway First Foundation, and Tongue-Tied Academy with Dr. Richard Baxter!  She is passionate about this new field and daily educates others as well!Dr. Bird founded Bird Pediatric Dentistry in 2008 and also is the owner of Braces by Bird, her orthodontic office.

Home Life

When not helping her patients attain and maintain straight and healthy teeth, Dr. Bird loves putting her toes in the sand at tropical destinations and spending time with her husband Jake and their five children, Jacob, Emily, Marilyn, Rosemary and Renee!  She loves to play pickle ball and to get her 10,000 steps in a day!  She also is a HUGE dog lover – and is especially fond of her doodles, Otto and Henry.

Education

Dr. Bird earned her doctorate from UNC School of Dentistry, her Pediatric specialty from The Ohio State University and Columbus Children’s Hospital, and her Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from The University of Missouri in Kansas City.
