Practice Philosophy 

Dr. Shekari earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2021. After practicing as a general dentist, she realized that caring for children was the most fulfilling part of her work. Helping young patients build healthy smiles, gain confidence, and develop positive dental habits inspired her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Staten Island University Hospital.

Dr. Shekari believes every child deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for at the dentist. She takes the time to get to know each child and family, creating personalized treatment plans that meet every patient’s unique needs. By using gentle, age-appropriate behavior guidance techniques, she strives to make each visit a positive, stress-free experience. Her goal is to help children build trust in the dental office from an early age, creating positive memories and a lifelong foundation for excellent oral health.

Home Life

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Shekari enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors. She loves going on hikes and taking long walks with her husband, and she values spending time with family and appreciating life’s simple moments.
