I respect all other opinions, but IMHO this practice doctor doesn't care as much for patients well-being as for its own profit, and convenience. My toddler treatment plan they insisted on was to cut-down her decayed teeth to put crowns on them under a general anesthesia. Since this is not my first child and I am a doctor myself I really don't like the idea of general anesthesia in kids younger than 5 y.o. I asked for an alternative, but was strictly told that either this or silver cover (black front teeth basically). There was no way to persuade the doctor that we could treat my kid in the office with regular fillings. We went for a second opinion to another practice, and as a result all work was done in 20 minutes in the office with a laughing gas mask, two minor fillings and some polishing. And now just open your eyes and compare: general anesthesia, cut-down teeth to put crowns, and the size of the insurance bill in comparison to the 20 minutes in office work. Of course it's much more profitable to go big, no one really cares if it's dangerous for your kid and hard on your wallet.
